“It is in the silence of November that the parkas take shape. »
Outside, the cold is already biting the cobblestones of Mayenne. Inside, the seamstresses double the stitches at the shoulders, elbows, pockets — wherever the garment works.
The Heritage Parka is the direct heir of the watch jackets that Coulange supplied to the French Navy. Same cut, same requirement, same promise: to protect without hindering.
Parkas that cross the Channel
Each parka is tested before leaving the workshop: thirty minutes in a shower, slow drying. What resists the Channel will resist everything.
The November collection is available in five silhouettes:
- Heritage Parka Beige — Hand waxed cotton, five successive layers. Each layer dries 24 hours.
- Blue Heritage Parka — Vat dyeing which penetrates the heart of the fiber. Will not fade.
- Green Heritage Parka — The green of the Norman forests, captured in a natural dye.
- Khaki Green Heritage Parka — The original khaki, that of the first models supplied to the army.
- M67 Trench Coat Khaki Green — Waterproof gabardine, lift-up collar secured with a hidden button. A detail inherited from the trenches of 1917.
Each parka is waxed by hand in the Coulange workshop, in Mayenne. Each trench is assembled in eight hours of work. Each piece is designed to last — and to be passed down.
