Cashmere. A word that immediately evokes suavidad, refinamiento, ese calor sin peso que solo un puñado de materials en el mundo saben de recercer. But what about cashmere, why do some of the pieces suffer for decades or even become deformed over a short period of time?

¿What exactly is Kashmiri?

Cashmira is a natural fiber extracted from the subpelo of cashmere wool, originating from the highest lands of Mongolia and Cashmere. Cada cabra produce solo unos 150 grams of plumón al año. For a shelter, you need the cover of four to six heads.

The quality depends on several factors: the length of the fiber, its finish and the purity of the triad. The long fibers (more than 38 mm) better resist the formation of bolts. An exceptional cashmere mide 14-15 micras, compared to 18-20 of the classic merina wool.

How to cook cashmere

Hand wash with cold water and mild detergent. Secado en plano, nunca colgado. Protect from dust with cedar or lavender bags. It will last for years.
