Craftsmanship
From the pattern to the last seam
Pattern, cutting, assembly, finishing: every step takes place in our workshop in France, by people who know every piece.

The pattern
Every model starts from the Maison’s historic patterns. We make several prototypes, in several materials, until the cut, the drape and the comfort are right. Nothing goes into production before that.
The material
Wool cloths, cashmeres and cottons arrive at the workshop in rolls. They are unrolled and laid flat on the cutting table before being marked.
Marking and cutting
The pattern is transferred onto the fabric, piece by piece, then each piece is cut and checked before assembly.
Assembly
A Coulange piece is assembled by a skilled garment maker, to the standards of the technical clothing we come from: double seams, tight stitches, functional tabs and eyelets.
Finishing
Buttonholes, buttons, fastenings, label: every jacket is checked piece by piece before it leaves the workshop.
